Amass and Swell is a site-specific installation composed of hundreds of stacked foam blocks. Spanning several gallery walls, it forms a 65-foot long interactive, cavern-like environment that envelops and engages museum visitors. Continuing an interest in using everyday materials, this work incorporates a mix of found and purchased foam to construct a large-scale architectural structure. The immersive scale and texture are intended to overwhelm the viewer, creating an immediate experience of time, space, and materiality.
