Requiescence

Requiescence is an extended gesture of renunciation, a form of release in which the material loosens tension and allows itself to droop and fold, as if a tightly wound mass were gradually being unknotted. It acts as a choreography of disentanglement, where strain gives way to slack, and implies an embodied moment of letting go held decidedly in midair.
