Ways of Seeing

mylar and wood
Concordia University, Irvine, CA
Ways of Seeing unfolds as a site-responsive installation that activates a hillside through a field of vertically embedded mylar elements. Arranged in rhythmic intervals, the reflective forms register changing conditions of sunlight, wind, and shadow, producing a constantly shifting visual atmosphere that evolves as viewers move through the terrain. The work frames perception as an active, embodied process. It proposes attentiveness as its central premise, inviting viewers to register what is gradually disclosed through movement, light, and sustained observation.
